Pauline Petit is a Vancouver based artist. Her art focuses on the relation one engages in with the world and how one relates that experience. She concerns herself with the historical, cultural, and often unacknowledged narratives inherent to language. To her, language is both the main tool to relate our engagement to the world and the instrument that shapes our engagement to the world.
Pauline was born and raised in France, and moved to Canada in 2007. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Visual Arts at the University of British Columbia in 2013. Since then, she has worked as a professional studio assistant for a number of established Vancouver artists.
